Cyberpunk Artemis

Phewww! This was my first ever attempt at creating a game-ready 3D character model (it was a lot to learn ;') ). I've been working on this character in University for the past 4 months now, with the last 12 days spent doing the final game-ready steps from retopo to baking to hand texturing. As this was the first time I've ever touched half of these software, it took me a while to figure everything out. But, boy am I glad I didn't give up or have a mental break down after the 100th time ZBrush crashed, because I'm incredibly proud of the finished result! This is Artemis, the Greek goddess, interpreted as a cyberpunk android. In hindsight, I feel the character model itself doesn't communicate her that theme as well as I intended it to. However, I'm hoping the props I've designed will do a better job of displaying that. All in all, I'm ecstatic with how much I've learned on this journey. I have gone from being a 2D concept artist who was too scared to venture out of the comfort of Photoshop, to having solid foundational knowledge of ZBrush sculpting, hard surface modeling, topology theory, Substance texturing and 3D rendering. I haven't gotten around to learning how to rig a character yet but that is definitely next on the agenda! (again after I get some REST :') )
